The FishFAR repeaters have served the needs of the amateur radio community since 1974. We have recently organized a not-for-profit radio club to help offset the costs of operating this system. Your help is needed! Whether you are a daily user of our five transmitters, only visit us during severe weather outbreaks (when we funnel local Skywarn network reports to the National Weather Service), or have never used our repeater system, we need your financial as well as your hands-on support to keep FishFAR functioning normally.

Our network of 4 UHF and 1 VHF repeaters and over a dozen receive sites requires lots of manpower and money to keep it healthy.

We invite you to join us and support Chicago's largest (and best) repeater system.

Your membership dues and your talents, whether you climb antenna towers, tweak transmitters, or drive around and test the coverage map, support the basis and purpose of amateur radio: "Continuation and extension of the amateur's proven ability to contribute to the advancement of the radio art" (§97.1(b) of the Amateur Radio Rules).

Please complete this membership application or ask for membership information on any of our repeaters.
